Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Goodman

In these five volumes, R. Yitzchak Meir Goodman has drawn from well
over 100 volumes of Rabbinic thought, many of them out of print
titles found only in his personal library. The main criterion for
inclusion in his work was: is this a beautiful thought that readers
will enjoy as much as I do?
A major rabbinic source comes from the brilliant writings of HaRav
Pinchas Friedman, a pillar of Belzer Chasidim. Until now, his deep,
penetrating thoughts have never been translated from the Hebrew.
Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Goodman attended Yeshiva and Mesivta Torah
Vodaas, then studied at Yeshiva University. He received Smichah
from Rav Soloveitchik, and a doctorate in Jewish education from
YU's Ferkauf Graduate School. The rabbi of Congregation Sons of
Israel in Astoria for seventeen years and a Rosh Yeshiva at TA
Manhattan, he retired from the pulpit after twenty-eight years
at Young Israel of Far Rockaway.
