"And You Should Be A Blessing"

Rabbi Meier uses his gifts as a rabbi and Jungian analyst to show
how the Torah is eternal precisely because the “stories” in it are
both universal and personal. He reveals how the Bible offers insight
on a variety of issues from morality to empathy to the modern day
malaise that sometimes affects those caught in the spinning wheels
of work and family. Included are many novel interpretations of biblical
stories and law that help the reader deal with the ambiguities of
life, the significance of biblical paradox, and the centrality of
evil in the world. For instance, when discussing the role of Joseph
and his brothers, the author makes the observation that while “Joseph’s
brothers sold him into slavery, we don't do that, we sue.” |
“Rabbi Meier reveals the depth and wonder of the hidden light of
Genesis as it affects each one of us separately and all of us, together.
He has succeeded in holding up to this primordial light the threads
of kindness and honesty that permeate our souls so that we can become
better aware of the struggle before us. My dear Rabbi Meier, continue
to bring the light of Torah to those around you, continue to be a
blessing.” Rabbi Morderchai Elon, Rosh Yeshiva of Hakotel (The Western
Wall)
